This past week has been really good. Wev'e actually been able to stay pretty busy here in our area. Of course it was transfer week this past week so thats always busy. We helped some of the sisters that were transferring pack and clean their apartments. After that, we all went out to lunch and then we had to get back to do a service project for a member in another ward. It was the usual, pulling weeds haha. That took up most of our day on Tuesday.
Thursday was crazy! It got down to like 40 degrees and when it hit nightfall, it snowed a little bit! What the heck! It was a pretty eventful day being out in the cold all day. It kinda scares me because it reminds me of when I first came out. I cant believe I'm about to go through winter again already. Anyways, that thursday morning we had an appointment with a less active that we have been working with a lot lately. She is progressing so well and actually came to church on Sunday. We showed her the video the Hope Of Gods Light which is on Mormon Channel if any of you want to watch it. It's a really good video, I think I mentioned it before. She totally related to the video and felt the spirit so strongly. We've really been focusing on the atonement with her and how we can use it in our lives to carry us through our hard times.
Friday we had District Meeting which is always so much fun. We all bore our testimonies of Christ and what he means to us in our lives. The spirit was so strong in that meeting. Probably one of my favorite district meetings we've had. After that we went to the mall to eat. And one of the Elders in our district decided to buy a banana board after. We didn't think he was actually going to do it but he did. If you don't know what a banana board is, it's a smaller version of a long board. It's funny because when he first got on it, he failed. And then I tried and was a natural at it haha. It was pretty fun.
After that we went to do service, pulling weeds again. But this time it was in the cold weather so that was fun. Thursday and Fridays were the only cold days. Now it's back up to 80 degrees and sunny. It is so strange haha.
On Saturday we blitzed the other elders area again. Not much really happened there to report on, but we did end up helping them out a lot.
Sunday was really good! We had an appointment with a less active family that night, the Curtis'. We helped them set goals to progress spiritually. They said they really wanted to start back up family home evening again, so we are going to try and do that with them this Sunday. They aren't progressing as much as we would like them to, but they really enjoy having us over.
Anyways, that was my week. It's been a really good one. And it's been nice because we've been finding a lot more work to do in our area lately. :) I'll let you all know how my temple trip goes! Talk to you next week! Love and miss you all!
