So this week was a really good week for sure, we got a lot of work done!
First I'll start with last Monday on our p-day. We decided to do something a little different other than just basketball for 3 hours. So, first we had lunch at the BK, and there we met a super nice old British lady, who isn't a member, and invited us over to her house! YES! That almost never happens, haha.
Anyways, after that we decided we wanted to be like Macklemore, and go pop some tags at the thrift shop! That was pretty fun! Elder Robison and I found a pool table, with the balls and the sticks on it, so we decided to play a couple games until one of the workers came and bagged it up haha whoops! It was well worth it though, haven't played pool in a while.
After, we bought our fur coats, broken key boards, ski blankets and knee boards (another mans trash is another mans come up!) I hope you all are getting the reference here, hahahaha! Anyways, we then decided to go sledding on the hill behind the stake center, which was a lot of fun. We did that for a couple hours until p-day ended, so yeah, the week started off great! :)
Tuesday we had a lesson with our former potential investigator Tim, who my old companion and I met through tracting and set up a return appointment. Lets just say it didn't go too well, I mean, we taught great, but everything we said to him went through one ear and right out the other. He asked a lot of questions, and every answer we gave he just didn't seem to agree with. We were there for an hour and a half answering questions, so it was rough, but he's moving to Denver anyways, so we will probably never see him again. Hopefully we at least planted a seed, haha.
But Wednesday was a lot better. We went tracting and found a Hawaiian family, who might be interested! My new companion is super stoked about that, haha. We have a set appointment with them this week so wish us luck!
Thursday we visited the British lady who we met at BK and helped her put away groceries. We really got to know her husband and her, and they love us! They said we can come back any time so hopefully we can teach them the first lesson!
Friday we had an amazing lesson with one of our recent converts Kathie Duncan, she's older and just the nicest lady ever! My companion and I were very nervous because she wanted a good lesson on the fall and agency, and we didn't really have time to prepare. But she comes over, and it turned out that the lesson went really well. Truly guided by the spirit on that one. Probably my favorite lesson I've had so far.
So, last but not least, we were able to see Curtis. It was my companions fist time meeting him, he loved him because this is the first black investigator he has ever had, haha. Anyways, so it turns out his surgery for his throat is rescheduled till this Thursday, because he was sick this past week unfortunately. So we scheduled an appointment to see him this Tuesday to give him a blessing. Please keep him in your prayers everybody.
Anyways, I love and miss you all and hope you have a great week! :)
