I hit My 5 month mark tomorrow! I cannot believe how fast the time is flying by! One more month and I will hit my quarter month mark haha. Other than that not much happened this week as far as the work goes.
Sister Gallegos left to Utah for 3 weeks, because her daughter is about to go into labor soon. So we have the whole house to ourselves, which is really weird, but no worries, members will be checking up on us from time to time to make sure we don't burn down the house or anything crazy. Other than that it's been a pretty slow week as far as the work goes.
On Wednesday and Thursday we spent most of our day trying to track down less actives. We were able to get in a couple houses and have lessons! One of them gave us a humidifier for our room and the other wants to have us over for dinner! We were so excited about that.
On Friday through Saturday night we went on exchanges, I was with Elder Seymoor in my area and my companion went with my district leader, Elder Bond, in their area. It was pretty good, I got to be senior companion for a couple days and lead out on everything. On Friday we had a really good lesson with a less active, we taught him the Plan of Salvation and invited him to go to the temple one day, he gladly accepted our invitation and almost broke into tears. His sister was there, who is even more less active, and she actually participated in the lesson. She also had her daughter and son there, who are 7 and 4 years old. The little girl said she really wants to be baptized! I was so excited, it went so well! Things like that make me love being a missionary! :)
Oh and I just recently found out, a girl who elder Manase and I taught one of my very first weeks in the mission, Amy Hou, just got baptized a couple of weeks ago in the singles ward. Just a refresher, we taught her the restoration and invited her to be baptized but she said no. At the time she wanted to investigate other churches because we were the first religion she has ever encountered and didn't want to just jump right in without knowing if it was the right thing or not. Needless to say I am very happy for her and her decision to draw closer to Christ. :)
Other than that, nothing crazy happened, we had a linger longer after church on Sunday which was awesome, and we were able to start a family mission plan with one of the members after that was over. It went very well so hopefully we can start that with more families soon! :)
Anyways, I love and miss you all and hope you have a safe week!
Elder Greer
