Interesting Week (Week 19 In The Field)

So as you know, Transfers were this past week and I had to say goodbye to one of my good friends, Elder Robison. He got transferred way down south, out in the boonies of Colorado, haha. I miss him but I know I'll see him again, still got a long way to go.

So we have a new Elder in our district, his name is Elder Seymoor. He's a great missionary, and a really good kid, but he's just not as fun and not very talkative. We kinda started off on the wrong foot at the beginning, but we all worked it out and are on good terms now. Which is good because we see our district a lot, and it wouldn't be fun if there was tension between all of us. But it's all fixed now and back to normal :)

This past week was pretty good, got to do a lot of service for members in the ward. We helped a lady put up her new bed, and throw out all the trash. That's when my companion and I had the bright idea to make my Mom a Valentines Day video using the Styrofoam. It was really funny, I encourage you all to watch it haha. :)

Oh and another good thing happened this week! My companion finally got his bike back, so we have been seeing a lot more people now, other than spending 70 percent of our time walking and 30 percent teaching.

So what we have been doing lately, suggested by a member in our ward, is that we have been singing hymns and relating them to scriptures for our spiritual thoughts at our dinners. The members love it! And we love to sing. :) Haha and that same member suggested that we hand out picture frames of Jesus to less actives and non members, and so far we have gotten really positive reactions! Our ward has a mass supply of them so we took like 50 and are going to pass each and every one out, but since they are big we can only do like 2 a day. But it will work out great, the guy who suggested this is a truly inspired man.

So he took us out to lunch the other day, to a place called Crave burgers, where they are unique with creating different style burgers. For instance, one specialty is that instead of having buns, they replace it with glazed donuts! Oh my goodness it was the best burger I have ever had! Mom, Dad, I am taking you here when you come pick me up after my mission haha.

Anyways so about the Hawaiian investigator we have. He really wants to take the lessons, but his wife wont let him. We haven't met the the wife until last night. Well I didn't get to meet her but my companion got to. I got really sick yesterday and couldn't go so we did emergency exchanges with our district leader and his new companion. Elder Seymoor stayed with me and Elder Bond went with my companion. Apparently the dinner went great, and the wife is okay with us coming over, however she's still unsure about the lessons. Hopefully she will come around :) Just keep praying for him, his name is Jerry by the way.

Anyways, once they got back from dinner, the Elders gave me a blessing and let me tell you, the spirit was overwhelming, I almost instantly felt better! :) I am so thankful for the power of the priesthood that we have in this life, and I am so thankful to be a missionary!

I love you all so much and miss you tons! I hope you all have an amazing week and remember all things are possible through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! :)
