Big News! (Week 18 In The Field)

Or not so big news, haha. I found out that I'm staying in Colorado Springs East 6th Ward for another round of transfers. I have mixed feelings about it still. On one hand, I get really spoiled here and the members are awesome, but on the other hand, I really want to see more of Colorado and meet more people. But, it is what it is, and I will literally be in this area for a quarter of my mission, thats crazy!

Anyways, these past 2 weeks have not been the greatest for missionary work, due to the fact that we have to walk! This past week my companion broke his bike, so it's in the shop getting fixed, however even if he did have his bike we wouldn't be able to ride them because there is ice all over the ground. This past week was the coldest, it dropped down to negative 10! So cold haha! So yeah I don't have much to report however we did pick up a new Investigator!

His name is Jerry, I don't know how to pronounce his last name, but my companion is very excited because he is Hawaiian! We are going over there tomorrow for lunch! He is going to make us Hawaiian curry, which tastes soooooo good! I cant wait! :) He is going through a rough time right now, so he could really use the gospel in his life. I'll keep you posted on what happens with him.

Other than that, our other investigator Curtis is doing alright, he felt sick this past week so he couldn't make it to church. I feel so bad for the poor guy and we seem to have done everything that we could to help him. Please keep him in your prayers. I'm sorry I don't have much to report, hopefully this next week will be better!

As far as transfers go for the rest of my district, we are all staying except for my good friend Elder Robison (my district leader's companion). He is moving all the way to Pueblo, which is way south from here. I'm pretty sad about that, him and I got a long well. I'm sure the new missionary coming in will be great though!

Anyways, I hope all is well down in sunny Florida! I miss and love you all! Have a great week! :)

Elder Greer

"And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save.  Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life."
