Road Trip To Springs And Other Things (Week 70 In The Field)

This week we were kept super busy! We had to go to town 3 times this past week. On Monday we went to Pueblo to do our shopping. We only get to go to Pueblo a couple times a month, because it takes up a lot of our miles.
So while we were there, we went bowling with the other missionaries, and then went shopping. Bowling was super fun, I broke 100 the second round we played, I was doing pretty well compared to how terrible I was back at home haha.
On Wednesday, we went to a funeral in the morning. A much loved woman in our ward died last week of unusual circumstances, so we went to that to show our love and support. I only met her a couple times, but she was a super nice lady. It's sad to see her here one day and gone the next. The service was good. All her kids are less active in the church, and I think many of them were touched by the good talks that were given at the service.
After the funeral we had to take our car back to Colorado Springs, because we got our truck back, so we don't need the car anymore. So that was a fun road trip. The zone leaders were having their MLC's up there so we were able to get a ride back with our zone leaders. It was awesome because I got to see a lot of my friends while I was up there. They were surprised to see me too.
On Thursday we went with a member in our ward to see a non-member who he has been working with. This guy's name is Vern and he is reading the Book Of Mormon and really studying our religion. We stopped by to meet him officially, and he was very nice to us and said we can come back to teach him more. So we are going back tomorrow to teach him. Pray that everything goes well with that.
Friday we had to go to Pueblo again for zone training. That was a really good meeting. They talked about how we always need to strive to fulfill our purpose as missionaries. That took up pretty much our whole day.
Sunday was the best day of the week though, because Ivy Hill and Ethan Gomez, our investigators, both came to church and they both loved it! The members in this ward are such good fellowshipers. It is amazing to see the members doing missionary work, it made us so happy. :) Our next goal is to set baptismal dates for them both so please keep them in your prayers.
I hope you all have had a great week and have another one as well! I love and miss you all! :)
