We Got Our Truck Back! (Week 69 In The Field)

So this past week we got to pick up our truck from the shop. I don't know if I told you all this, but the truck was crashed by the last Elder that was here, and was in the shop for the past month getting fixed. So we have been driving in a little car on a ton of dirt roads for the past month, and almost got stuck a few times in mud, haha.

Oh, that reminds me of something that happened a couple weeks ago, I forgot to mention. We went out to do service for a lady, and had a couple of young men come with us to help. Their van got stuck in the mud, so me and Elder Price went to go push on the front of the car while he drives in reverse. Well, we got him out of the mud but in the process, while the wheels were spinning, I got caked with mud! From head to toe, all on my left side. It was a good thing I was in service clothes, because it was not pretty, haha. I meant to take a picture but I forgot. So sorry you won't be able to see it, it was pretty funny. But yeah, we have the truck back now, so that's been nice.

This past week was interesting. Ivy, 1 of our main investigators, dropped her baptismal date for valentines day. She feels she is not ready, but we know she is, so we challenged her to pray specifically to ask Heavenly Father if she's ready. So we are hoping Heavenly Father  gives her a blunt answer telling her that she's ready. Our next appointment with her is Friday, so please pray that she will have received an answer by then.

We also had a lesson with our other 17 year old investigator, Ethan Gomez. We read the Book of Mormon with him, and cleared up a lot of his concerns. We extended a baptismal invite, and he said he would love to be baptized, once he comes to find out it's true. So we are going to meet with him sometime this week to follow up with that. He talked to his parents about him meeting with us, and his Mom is okay with it, but his Dad is kind of indifferent to the idea. Hopefully we can meet with his parents, so they know what exactly he is doing, and know the situation.

Not much else happened this week because we had to do a lot of traveling. We had interviews with our mission president, which went very well, it's always good to see him. :) And then we got stuck in Pueblo on Friday while we were picking up our truck, it went a lot longer then expected. Apparently the paper work wasn't ready, haha.

But Everything is going great and I am loving it out here! :) The work is awesome and the area is stunning. I love serving a mission, and know that it's the most important thing that I will ever do. I hope you all have a great week and know that I love and miss you all. :)
